Voting rights in Colonial Assembly elections vary from system to system, and are determined by local governments. This page is intended to help you understand Vir's specific requirements.
Vir's requirements are as follows:
Dionae may not vote due to legal complications regarding individuality.
Prometheans may not vote due to age and lack of true citizenship as wards of NanoTrasen.
Vir Citizenship is NOT required.

Requirements for Vir citizenship are remarkably similar to those for SCG citizenship.
Vir Citizenship requires:

Vir's requirements are as follows:
- Solar Confederate Government citizenship. (Note for 2563: Zaddat may not vote)
- Legal Residency status in the Vir System, or Vir Citizenship (See below).
- Legal personhood (Drones may not vote, regardless of class).
- Has reached age of legal majority dependent on species
- For most species, this is 18.
- For Teshari, this is 15.
- For Unathi, this is 40
- For Positronics, this means passing the Jans-Fhride Positronic Adulthood Index Test

- An individual must hold a physical address within the Vir system (Ownership or rental both qualify).
- An individual must spend at least 6 months of a standard year residing in the Vir System.
- An individual must be able to support themselves financially (Via employment or savings)
- An individual must be a taxpayer within the Vir system.
Vir Citizenship Status:
Requirements for Vir citizenship are remarkably similar to those for SCG citizenship.
Vir Citizenship requires:
- An individual has held legal residency status for a minimum of 5 years
- OR An individual has immediate family (Parent, Child, Spouse) holding current Vir Citizenship.
- An individual has passed a citizenship test, variable by species.*
- OR An individual has provided significant financial investment in the Vir system.**
- An individual born to a parent with Vir citizenship, or is a Positronic who has passed their J.F test at an institution within Vir automatically recieves citizenship.
